Indy Company Doubles Down on Commitment to Veterans

TRIMEDX Chief Human Resources and Diversity Officer, Dawn Griffin, was recently featured in Inside INdiana Business discussing the company’s new partnership with the Department of Defense’s SkillBridge program as a certified industry partner and employer.

TRIMEDX is furthering efforts to support active and veteran military personnel, announcing it is now a DOD SkillBridge industry partner and employer, which will allow the company to provide learning opportunities such as apprenticeships, internships and industry training for those exiting the military. Chief Human Resources and Diversity Officer Dawn Griffin says the company has some 3,000 employees across 40 states, many of which have military experience. Griffin tells Inside INdiana Business the partnership with SkillBridge is an important one for the company.

“The SkillBridge is a great program and it aligns well with our strategy to develop our own talent, which we do both internally and through partnerships like SkillBridge,” said Griffin. “Additionally, over 17% of our workforce has military background, so it’s really important for us to connect in that way with people with military experience and their work experience and the skills they develop inside the military transitions really well to our environment.”
