Quadraspec Chooses TriMedx for Strategic Service Partnership

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - March 11, 2008 - TriMedx, a national leader in healthcare equipment services, and Quadraspec, an emerging diagnostics platform company based in Purdue Research Park, announced today a strategic service relationship in the life sciences industry. Both Indiana-based firms are past recipients of Techpoint's MIRA award, and are recognized as innovation leaders in their industries.

"Quadraspec's technology improves patient diagnosis outcomes, both in terms of reliability and speed," stated Ned Campbell, TriMedx Chief Operating Officer. "The partnership ultimately means TriMedx can further improve patient outcomes throughout the healthcare provider value chain."

TriMedx will provide national service support for the Inspira System, a revolutionary, high-throughput diagnostic tool. The system includes a sample handler as well as the world's first dual channel detector which provides for both label-free and traditional fluorescence detection. The innovative platform provides numerous advantages over existing technologies, including high multiplexing capabilities, quantitative assays, high throughput, short run times, and label-free detection. The collaboration with TriMedx promotes additional emphasis on speed, reliability, and unmatched analytical throughput for Quadraspec's diagnostic customers.

"TriMedx is an ideal partner," stated Richard Aderman, Quadraspec President and Chief Operating Officer. "We are especially pleased with their record of service quality and their commitment to the customer - attributes which align strongly with our vision to become the premier diagnostics technology platform. It is also significant that we collaborate with other Indiana companies to promote the growing base of biotech capabilities in our state."
