TriMedx Receives Mira Award for Health and Life Sciences

May 24, 2006 - TriMedx received the top honor in the Health and Life Sciences category during Techpoint's prestigious Mira Awards banquet on May 19, 2006. Techpoint's Mira Awards are given annually to recognize Indiana's top emerging technology companies and to celebrate excellence in innovation. As the winner of the Health and Life Sciences award, TriMedx was selected for delivering innovative health-related services, demonstrating financial strength, overall success, profitability, and sustainability, as well as being an outstanding corporate citizen.

"We are privileged to receive Techpoint's Mira Award as it validates our commitment to advancing medical equipment service - making it as accessible, reliable, and cost-effective as possible," stated Greg Ranger, TriMedx President and CEO. "TriMedx is doing what it set out to do, which is to drive and shape the industry by challenging the norm and expanding our capabilities."

TriMedx won the award for its unique approach to managing medical equipment services for healthcare facilities across the United States and launching the country's first non-manufacturer computerized circuit board repair service through its newest business unit, Axess Ultrasound.

Mira Awards judge Mike Fitzgerald, principal of Indianapolis-based life sciences consultancy Fitzgerald Associates, was particularly impressed with TriMedx's potential to expand beyond Indiana's borders. "As much focus as there's been [locally] on the health and life sciences, only a few of the judges had even heard of this business," he said. "But this one was pretty easy to get excited about as you learned more about their customers and plans."

TriMedx CFO Skeets James accepted the award during the ceremony which was held at the Indiana Roof. This year, nearly 900 technology business leaders, university representatives, and guests attended the event.
