TriMedx Launches New Business Unit

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - January 23, 2006 - Indianapolis-based TriMedx, LLC announced today the formation of Axess Ultrasound, a new business unit focused on providing high-quality ultrasound repair and maintenance service to physicians' offices, imaging centers, and other group practices. Axess Ultrasound will build upon TriMedx's core business of providing biomedical, laboratory, and imaging equipment management services to hospital systems throughout the United States and will expand the company's ability to provide ultrasound expertise and resources to existing customers and physician-based practices.

"We have assembled a talented team of service professionals with extensive experience in the ultrasound equipment service and repair business," stated Greg Ranger, TriMedx President and CEO. "Not only does this new business unit give us the ability to improve ultrasound services for our current customers, it allows us to offer quality services to healthcare providers whose needs are specific to ultrasound equipment. Axess Ultrasound will also build core capabilities to diagnose and repair medical equipment circuit boards and ultrasound transducers, enabling us to provide lower cost replacement parts for our customers."

Axess Ultrasound will occupy a 19,000 square foot facility based in Indianapolis and will initially employ 20 people, including several highly skilled ultrasound engineers. The new business unit is led by Bob Broschart, Director of Ultrasound Operations, a 23-year ultrasound service leader who joined TriMedx in October 2005.
