Carondelet Health Network Selects TriMedx Services

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Carondelet Health Network in Tucson, AZ awarded TriMedx a multi-million dollar contract to manage its medical equipment services. The partnership offers the healthcare system a capped-cost arrangement that leverages economies of scale and introduces state-of-the-art equipment management practices.

TriMedx assumed management of Carondelet's in-house clinical engineering staff on September 1, 2005. The goal of TriMedx's insourcing model is to build a highly-skilled technical department that is self-sufficient and less dependent on high-cost equipment service contracts.

"Working with the in-house staff maintains customer loyalty and onsite response," stated TriMedx President Greg Ranger. "Our partnership with Carondelet provides us with new technical talent and resources. We provide a program that will boost the department's effectiveness, increasing its value to the customer. This is achieved by incorporating cost avoidance strategies, introducing better management tools, and providing administrative expertise."

Carondelet Health Network is a member of Ascension Health, the nation's largest Catholic and nonprofit healthcare system. As one of Tucson's largest employers, Carondelet consists of three hospitals and multiple medical centers. TriMedx's national buying power for parts and supplies and its ability to provide a cohesive medical equipment management program were two deciding factors for Carondelet.

TriMedx, LLC is a collaborative service provider that offers healthcare equipment services and capital asset management to hospitals and integrated healthcare systems across the country. TriMedx's services are designed to improve service and control costs. Healthcare facilities being serviced range from major hospital systems to small clinics and physician offices.
