Former logistics executive brings dynamic experience to new role
INDIANAPOLIS (Feb. 18, 2009) - TriMedx, an industry leader in managing healthcare equipment, recently appointed Patrick D. Woods as vice president of business development and marketing.
Former director of global sales and marketing for Langham Logistics, Patrick brings a series of success from various industries including supply chain and logistics, aerospace and advanced manufacturing, and life sciences. For nearly two decades, Patrick served in leadership roles for renowned organizations such as Emery Worldwide, Beaver Aerospace & Defense, SMC Corporation of America, and Sherry Laboratories.
During his tenure at Langham, Patrick helped transform its image from service provider to full-scale logistics leader, helping the organization move to a consulting model and gain a foothold as a value-driven supply chain management partner for customers around the world. In this role, he oversaw the development and execution of a visionary sales and marketing plan aimed at strategic cost reduction and asset utilization for the medical and consumer packaged goods industry as well as other manufacturers seeking innovative solutions.
"Healthcare providers currently face tremendous adversity from capital and hiring freezes to ailing investments, evaporating bonds, and an increasing number of uninsured patients unable to pay," said Linda LeBlanc, TriMedx senior vice president. "Patrick's experience and vision will be vital to help current and prospective customers create configurable, scalable remedies to stretch existing resources while continuing to provide quality patient care."
Part of Patrick's plan is to increase market presence for rapidly-expanding TriMedx, which currently serves 500 customers nationwide and has experienced significant growth since its inception in 1998.
