Healthcare Equipment Manager to Add 100 New Associates
TriMedx joined Governor Mitch Daniels and Deputy Mayor Nick Weber today to announce plans for expansion at its national headquarters in Indianapolis.
A trusted partner for medical equipment management, repair, and procurement, TriMedx plans to invest $5 million to expand its central office and regional presence, adding more than 100 new positions over the next five years.
Currently serving nearly 500 hospitals and healthcare facilities across the country, TriMedx originally started as a hospital clinical engineering department in the late 1970s. Since it began serving external customers in 1998, the company has grown exponentially and was recently ranked as the number one healthcare equipment management company by Modern Healthcare.
"Centralizing and augmenting operations in Indiana allows us to capture the benefits of low-cost living, exceptional higher education, and economic incentives - to pass along more value to our customers," said Greg Ranger, TriMedx president and chief executive officer, who founded the service-niche company. "Combining cost savings, best-in-class services, and top talent creates an incubator for industry best practices, which allows us to customize continuous improvement strategies that optimize asset management for our value chain."
A wholly-owned subsidiary of Ascension Health, the nation's largest Catholic and largest nonprofit healthcare network, TriMedx has helped the system save more than $100 million through its comprehensive program.
"TriMedx has contributed to Ascension Health achieving unprecedented cost efficiencies, enhanced quality and extensive improvements in regulatory compliance and patient safety - which helps us focus on providing high-quality patient care," said John Doyle, general manager, transformational development and chief strategy officer, Ascension Health.
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation has offered TriMedx up to $1 million in performance-based tax credits and up to $235,000 in training grants based on the company's job creation plans. In addition, the City of Indianapolis will provide the company property tax abatement.
